Abstract (EN)

The paper introduces Reflex, a mirrored camera mobile game for children and adolescents, especially those with Neuro-Developmental Disorder. The game, offered through a cross-platform application for smart-phones and tablets, bridges the digital and the physical worlds by tracking, via a bottom-looking mirror positioned on the device camera, physical items placed on the table. This new interaction paradigm, its co-designed features and the first pilot study reveals an unexplored potential for learning.

L'articolo introduce Reflex, un gioco mobile basato su una telecamera speculare per bambini e adolescenti, in particolare per coloro con disturbi dello sviluppo neuro. Il gioco, offerto tramite un'applicazione cross-platform per smartphone e tablet, fonde i mondi digitale e fisico tracciando, tramite uno specchio posizionato sulla fotocamera del dispositivo, oggetti fisici posti su un tavolo. Questo nuovo paradigma di interazione, le sue caratteristiche co-progettate e il primo studio pilota rivelano un potenziale inesplorato per l'apprendimento.
